Through various mergers and acquisitions, the roots of Vickery Holman can be traced back as far as 1848. Today, the consultancy has more than 70 people working in four offices, strategically placed across the South West. Vickery Holman is a limited company, owned by its employees, and is a member of the RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors).
Our consultants offer a full spectrum of skills in all areas of property, from all aspects of general practice and building surveying, right through to the management of commercial and residential property. Our specialist areas include dispute resolution, development consultancy, valuation, lease consultancy, business rates negotiations, in addition to commercial sales, lettings and acquisitions.

Alan Treloar
Commercial Agency Lead
Alan heads up the agency department and has been involved in most aspects of commercial property consultancy, specialising in agency work and covering all property types from retail, office and industrial to hotels, pubs and other going concerns. He has also been involved in investment disposals and acquisitions for retained clients and the sale of commercial and residential development land.
Alan graduated from college in Portsmouth in 1992 with a degree in land management and joined Vickery Holman in 1997, later becoming an Associate and then Director in 2010.
As well as his role at Vickery Holman, Alan is a committee member for the RICS Cornwall Area Local Association.
Joanne High
Planning & Development Lead
Joanne is Head of Commercial Agency, managing the general commercial agency functions across our offices in Truro, Plymouth, Exeter and Bristol. Joanne advises clients on the disposal and acquisition of various different types of property including industrial, office and retail. She also deals with residential and commercial development sites and investments. Her clients include investment funds, local authorities, development companies and a range of businesses from start ups to international firms and everything in between.
Sam Johnson
Valuation Lead
Sam heads up the valuation department across the four offices. She specialises in valuation, covering the South West for a broad range of property types and purposes.
Sam’s main clients include all the major banks and lenders as well as pension funds and property owners.
Since graduating with a BA (Hons) in Property Development and Planning, Sam joined Vickery Holman in 2008. She has worked across the South West, and is now based in the Exeter office.
