Our main geographical area of operation was traditionally central southern England, focusing on the main commercial centres of Southampton, Portsmouth, Winchester, Bournemouth and Poole, Salisbury, Basingstoke and Chichester.

Our Team
Duane Walker
Director
Duane is the managing director of Mava Real Estate. He has a degree in Real Estate Valuation and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2000 and subsequently became a Registered Valuer.
Duane became a partner in Primmer Olds in 2005 and has been the driving force for change and growth ever since.
He has a wealth of both transactional and advisory experience, with a particular emphasis on investment and development agency across the South.
Outside of work, he doesn’t stand still, having completed multiple marathons, ultras and triathlons in his spare time.
Duane has a wide breadth of experience in the transactional side of the business across all sectors of the market. He specialises in local investment and development agency throughout Hampshire with a particular emphasis on acquisitions and asset improvement.
Duane manages the promotion of the firm taking a progressive approach towards its marketing as well as prioritising the client’s property interests.
Notable clients have included Bacardi, CBRE Global Investors, London and Cambridge Properties, Kennedy Wilson, Bellway Homes and more.
Simon Hake
Director – Head of Advisory & Valuations
Simon brings over 10 years of experience as a commercial property surveyor, predominantly along the South Coast of England.
Working within the advisor & valuation team, Simon specialises in valuations of commercial and residential property, for secured lending, pre-purchase, taxation, matrimonial, charity, and pension fund purposes.
Simon leads Valuations and is responsible for compliance, panel management and quality assurance across the department.
Simon loves weekend dog walks, mainly to the local country pubs and attempts to play golf.
He specialises in valuations of commercial and residential property, for lending, pre purchase, taxation, probate, matrimonial, pension fund purposes.
Outside of work, Simon enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, dog walks to the local country pubs and playing golf (badly).
Ben Simpkin
Director – Head of Agency (Dorset)
Ben has a first-class degree in Real Estate Management.
He joined the team in 2022 as Head of Agency in Dorset to oversee the office and was promoted to the position of Director in late 2024.
Ben works alongside our Managing Director, Duane Walker, on larger instructions and business development, creating synergy between the Dorset and Hampshire offices.
Ben spends most of his social time with his new wife and at the gym.
