Fairhurst Buckley Welcomes New Associate Director

Following a surge in UK-wide new client instructions, Stockport-based commercial agent and property services company Fairhurst Buckley has expanded their team by appointing Dan Whelan as the new Associate Director.

Dan Whelan, a highly experienced Chartered Building Surveyor, holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Building Surveying from Salford University and is chartered with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He joins Fairhurst Buckley from AG Built Environmental Consultancy, where he worked in the Commercial Building Surveying team handling acquisitions, dilapidations, and project management.

At Fairhurst Buckley, Dan will focus on services related to commercial, retail, and industrial properties. His extensive experience in managing a team of surveyors and contractors to deliver a portfolio of works positions him well to support the growth of Fairhurst Buckley’s Building Consultancy team.

John MacMillan, Director at Fairhurst Buckley commented:

“After the constraints brought about by the pandemic, and judging by the number of new instructions, including some long-term substantial projects, our sector has recovered well.

“Recruitment across most sectors is competitive and in our industry has its challenges, which is why I am delighted to welcome Dan to the team. I know his wide-ranging experience will be a great asset and bring a new dynamic to the team.”

Dan Whelan shared his enthusiasm for joining Fairhurst Buckley at such a promising time:

“This is an exciting time for Fairhurst Buckley; I’m looking forward to playing my part in providing a professional service to our clients as well as working to further develop and deliver Fairhurst Buckley’s strategy for growth.”
